Credit and Collection Policy
At Lawrence General Hospital, we are a frontline caregiver providing medically necessary care for all people regardless of ability to pay. The hospital offers this care for all patients that come to our facility 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year.
If you are unable to pay for services, the hospital assists patients in obtaining financial assistance from public programs and other sources whenever appropriate. To remain financially viable as it fulfills its mission, Lawrence General must appropriately bill and collect for medical services provided to patients. This credit and collection policy is designed to comply with state and federal law and regulations in performing this function. Lawrence General does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, citizenship, alienage, religion, creed, sex, sexual preference, age, or disability in its policies or in its application of policies, concerning the acquisition and verification of financial information, pre-screening or pre-treatment deposits, payment plans, deferred or rejected admissions.
