Reimagining Health Care in the Merrimack Valley

On August 29, 2024, Lawrence General Hospital signed an asset purchase agreement that will allow Holy Family Hospital, both the Methuen and Haverhill campuses, to join Lawrence General Hospital to build a true regional health care system in the Merrimack Valley.

We are excited about the opportunity that puts quality and safety at the forefront of everything we do and is guided by the principle of equitably caring for our community. We are grateful to the many stakeholders who have helped in this acquisition process, including the Commonwealth, our federal and state legislative delegations, and local officials.

This is an historic moment for health care and for all of us in the Merrimack Valley as patients, community members, employees, providers, and community partners are going to be part of something profound.
