Radiation Oncology Services at Marston Medical Center
Claire Fung, M.D., a radiation oncologist at Alliance Radiation Oncology in Newburyport, is seeing patients at 25 Marston Street, Suite 204, in Lawrence, MA. Less than a half mile from Lawrence General hospital, the multi-specialty clinic is open the first and third Tuesday of each month from 8 am - 12 pm. To schedule an appointment, please call 978-997-1351.
At Alliance Radiation Oncology, Dr. Fung and her team treat many forms of cancer using sophisticated radiation technology. Treatment options include 3D conformal radiotherapy and volumetric modulated arc therapy (VAMT), an advanced form of intensity modulated radiation therapy with increased precision and reduced treatment time. The center also offers stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) which delivers extremely precise, very intense doses of radiation to cancer cells while minimizing damage to healthy tissue. SBRT can be given in five or fewer daily sessions and can lead to better outcomes and fewer side effects than conventional radiation therapy for certain cancers.
In addition to in-person visits, the center offers easy-to-access telehealth services for consultations and follow-up so that patients can receive pre- and post-treatment care from the comfort and safety of their homes.
Dr. Fung graduated with honors from Harvard Medical School and completed her radiation oncology residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. A member of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Fung is board-certified in radiation oncology and a recipient of numerous awards, including being named one of the “Best Doctors in America” for 14 consecutive years.
Dr. Fung and her associate Dr. Daphna Spiegel, also a member of Radiation Oncology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, collaborate closely with colleagues in surgical and medical oncology, and primary care.
