Help Us Create a Vertical Treatment Area Inside Our Emergency Center

Lawrence General Hospital has been a vital community treasure for 147 years – and we need the financial support of our LGH Family to continue to provide the Merrimack Valley with the highest quality health care possible.

One project we need your help with is creating a “Vertical Treatment” area inside our Emergency Center. It is called “Vertical” because some patients need focused care over just a few hours and don’t need to be admitted.

These patients can be kept “vertical” during their visit in adjustable recliners/treatment chairs instead of beds. Vertical treatment areas are state-of-the-art and are being built in emergency centers around the country.

Creating seven new examination bays will let us rapidly assess, treat, and discharge these patients so we can focus intensely on the most critical patients. We also expect that this will reduce delays in the Emergency Center waiting room. It will be a win-win for all our Emergency Center visitors.

A local couple who are no strangers to our Emergency Center has offered to pay for half of the project and we need to raise the other $500,000.

Would you please consider making a new or even increased gift to support this important project?

Regardless of whether you make a gift in support of this project or choose to make a gift to the Annual Fund, so we can use it for other needs in the hospital, we appreciate your support.

As a valuable member of the LGH Family, thank you for all you do for Lawrence General Hospital every day. We hope you will consider joining us in this effort.
