Top Performer in MA for Employee Vaccination Participation
While many hospitals across Massachusetts continue to lag behind the recommended levels for staff/employee vaccinations, Lawrence General takes this topic seriously, and is once again setting the benchmark for others to match. A low employee vaccination number at any health care facility can expose patients to a heightened risk of infection. The average employee vaccination rate across all hospitals was a disappointing 81%.
With 74 acute care hospitals reporting to the MA Department of Public Health, Lawrence General's vaccination rate of 99% ranked our local hospital at third best in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Thank you LGH employees for achieving this number, and for protecting our patients from undue exposure to infection. Of note as well, our clinical partners at Beth Israel Deaconess and Tufts Medical Center also ranked at the very top of the list.
